We already pay for antivirus. Why is this different?
Traditional antivirus matches files against a list of known threats and waits for the next list. Managed Endpoint Security pairs next-generation antivirus, which judges software by how it behaves, with Endpoint Detection and Response, which records what happens on the device and lets us isolate it or roll it back to a clean state. The other difference is the word managed: our team deploys it, tunes it, and triages every alert, instead of a console nobody is watching.
Which security product will you put on our machines?
It depends on your environment. We work with SentinelOne, Huntress, Bitdefender, CrowdStrike, and Microsoft Defender, and we choose and tune the engine that fits your devices, your existing licensing, and your risk. If you are already licensed for Microsoft Defender, that may mean building on it rather than paying for a second product. Either way, deployment, policy, and alert monitoring run through the same console as the rest of your devices.
What actually happens if a threat is detected on someone's laptop?
The engine blocks the behavior first, then an alert reaches our team for triage. If the device looks compromised, we isolate it from the network so nothing spreads, investigate, and either remediate in place or roll the machine back to a clean state. The user is told what happened and what we did, and the device goes back into service once we are satisfied. The alert is not left waiting for someone to notice it.
What does the per-device fee cover?
Pricing is a flat monthly fee per protected device, month to month, and it covers the managed service: deployment, policy, continuous monitoring, alert triage, and hands-on remediation. Before anything is installed we put in writing exactly what the fee includes, so there is no question later about what is covered. There is no hourly charge when an alert turns into an incident; responding to it is the service you are paying for.
