Co-Managed IT Services

For businesses with an IT person or a small team: our platform, help desk and specialists working alongside yours, with the split of responsibilities written down.

All Managed IT

Overview

One IT person cannot be the help desk, the security team and the project manager. Nobody can.

A business with forty or a hundred staff usually has one IT person, sometimes two. They know the environment better than any outsider ever will, and they are also the only person who can reset a password, patch the servers, investigate a security alert and plan the next hardware refresh. When they are on holiday, nobody can. When they leave, everything they knew leaves with them.

Co-managed IT keeps your people in charge and gives them a bench. Your team and ours work in the same enterprise management platform, with the same monitoring, patching and documentation. Routine tickets can overflow to our help desk; after-hours alerts go to us; security, compliance and large projects get our specialists. Who does what is written into the agreement, so nothing falls between two teams and nobody is duplicating work.

It is also the arrangement that survives staff changes. Because the documentation and the tooling are shared, a departure is a hiring problem rather than an outage.

Capabilities

What's included

  • Shared management platformYour IT staff get full access to the same monitoring, patching, remote access and documentation we use.
  • Help desk overflow and after-hoursTickets your team cannot get to, and everything that happens outside your IT person's day.
  • Security specialistsDetection and response, vulnerability management and email security run by people who do only that.
  • Projects and escalationsMigrations, upgrades and the hard tickets, worked with your team rather than handed over the wall.
  • Documentation in one placeYour environment documented in the shared system, so knowledge does not live in one head.
  • Reporting for leadershipA monthly view of health, risk and work done that your IT lead can take to the owners.

How It Works

One platform, two teams, one agreement

Your team and ours work in the same NinjaOne tenant: same monitoring, same patching, same documentation. Who handles what — first-line tickets, servers, security, projects, after-hours — is written into the agreement so nothing falls between two teams.

Responsive & accountable

One team that knows your environment and answers fast. You reach a real technician, not a ticket queue in another time zone.

Month-to-month

We earn your business every month. No multi-year lock-in — you stay because the service works, not because a contract traps you.

Common Questions

Questions we get asked

Is this a way of replacing our IT person?

No. Co-managed IT exists precisely because your IT person is valuable and overloaded. They stay in charge of the environment and decide what we take on. In practice the arrangement makes an in-house role more sustainable, because the person is no longer the single point of failure for everything with a plug.

How do you decide who does what?

In a working session at the start, written into the agreement, and revisited when the business changes. A common split is that your team owns first-line support and the applications specific to your business, while we run monitoring, patching, backup, security operations and after-hours, and projects are staffed jointly. Any split is workable as long as it is explicit.

Will our IT staff get access to your tools?

Yes, with named accounts and the same permissions our technicians have for your environment. The point of a shared platform is that your team can see every alert, run every script and read every document we can. If we ever part ways, the documentation goes with you.

What happens if our IT person leaves?

Nothing breaks. The monitoring, patching and backups keep running, the help desk keeps answering, and the documentation of your environment is already in the shared system rather than in a notebook. You hire at your own pace; we cover the gap, and we can help interview if you want a technical second opinion.

How is co-managed IT priced?

A flat monthly fee based on the devices covered and the responsibilities we take on, agreed in writing and month to month. It is usually less than a fully managed arrangement because your team is doing part of the work, and considerably less than a second full-time hire with a security background.
